Cinder
Summary: Linh Cinder (based on Cinderella), a cyborg living with her stepmother and her two stepsisters, works as a mechanic in a booth at the market place, where she meets Prince Kai, who requests her to fix his personal android. Can't shed tears or blush due to her android modifications. Thought to be immune to letumosis and has more unknown secrets. Later in the first book, Dr. Dmitri Erland states something breathtaking. Cinder is arrested later. During that time, he gives Cinder a new hand and foot and a mission, to look for him in Africa.
Review: I liked this futureistic take on Cinderalle. I felt like the orginal story was boring and so was Cinderella. Now she is a cyborg who has brains and is an interesting person. Someone finally gave the girl a personality. I also liked that one of the stepsisters didn't hate her. Plus Iko. Iko is hilarious and I just love the little android.
Scarlet
Summary: Scarlet Benoit (based on Little Red Riding Hood) is the granddaughter of Michelle Benoit, a farmer and former military pilot who has suddenly gone missing. On Scarlet's journey to find her, Scarlet teams up with and learns from a street fighter named Wolf that her grandmére may be hiding secrets regarding Princess Selene, the lunar princess.
Review: Little Red gets spunk. She takes on the Lunars and helps Cinder, a fugitive escape the Lunars. We have another revamped Disney girl who turns into a bad ass, and she can "control" a Lunar special Op.
Cress
Summary: Crescent Moon 'Cress' Darnel (based on Rapunzel) is a banished hacker who is somehow caught up in Cinder and her crew's plot to overthrow the wicked Lunar queen. However, soon everything goes awry. The crew is separated, and they must do anything they can to reunite and prevent the royal wedding that could put Earth into Queen Levana's hands. And all the while, the plague is mutating, and Queen Levana is watching.
Review: Cress is a super brainy girl who is a shell, a person that the queen cannot control. Sure she is gushy about Captain , but she makes up with it for it with a strong backbone and never giving up even when it seems like all is lost. I really like this series and it's take on the old fairy tales.
*There is another book called Winter. It comes out November 10, 2015.*
